Trial of the Crusader – Anub’arak (Final Boss)

Posted by Virtual Barrack - September 9th, 2009

Last time, I posted some tips about optimizing the WoW audio volume. And I got some other useful tips for all of you today. In order to be a useful member in a group, not a noob, you should first know the boss well. It is all about knowing your enemy.

Hints and tips for this boss.

• Ignore the “Yellow” crawlies just before the boss, they go away when you aggro the boss.
• If you are DPS, make a macro to target the Frost Sphere and shoot/cast them down. You want to blanket the area with them leaving places for your raid to walk around though
• Tanks should tank him as much as possible on the frosty ground. It keeps him from submerging
• When he DOES submerge, he will “follow” someone and try to hit them with his spikes. Kite him to a frozen ground patch and he will “hit his head”. After a few of these he will re-emerge
• Final Phase… At 30% he “enrages” and does a AOE life drain to the whole party. Healers have to be on the ball for this and all DPS should concentrate on taking the boss down ASAP. We didn’t at the time, but you should save heroism/bloodlust for this part of the fight.

p.s: A mage will port you back to dalaran at the end.

I hope you will get some nice epics soon and will get a better quote on selling your WoW account at www.vbarrack.com.

WoW Experience

Posted by Virtual Barrack - September 4th, 2009

I had not played WoW for at least a week due to the frequent business trips. Finally, I played for a while last night. But everything didn’t go smooth (waited for an hour to get a full group, but we didn’t even finish the dungeon). This is not the first time that I felt so frustrated in game. All of you have experienced that before I am sure. Anyway, the frustration from last night reminded me a story. Here it is…

Once upon a time, I was doing a TOC. Priest A said he could only fight until point X, and then he had to go out for dinner. Everyone agreed. Then priest A left at point X as we expected. Fortunately, we found a priest B to replace priest A. 2-3 minutes later, priest B found out that mage C was in the group and she said she would not heal mage C since she hates him. Then, priest B and mage C kept arguing. Priest B said she had chatted with mage C through the web cam, and mage C said priest B is not beautiful at all. That is why she hates mage C. 30 minutes later, both left. I waited another 45 minutes for getting a priest and mage. Did not have luck, then I left too. Sigh.

You never say a woman is not beautiful.
