The New Economy Indicator
I was reading vBarrack’s August Sales Report during lunch, and I found something very interesting. I figured that many customers sold their WoW accounts to us, in the middle of August, when the Dow Jones Index plunged to 9,130 (The lowest in August). On the other hand, our sales peaked on the day when Dow Jones Index surged to 9,600 (The highest in August). Conclusion? Is the size of the correlation between Dow Jones Index and our inventory really close to -1? And close to 1 against to our sales? I doubt it. There are many other variables. However, I can say, when we see the high volume of quotes on selling WoW accounts, the Dow will fall somehow (people need cash…). This is a new economy indicator. Believe it or not ![]()
